Bobby Mullins’ MLP was first planned to be during Saint Arnold week, but I recently learned that he has left Saint Arnold to open and operate Armadillo Ale Works in Denton, TX. When they (him and his partner, Yiannis Arestis) open, they will be Denton’s first brewpub. To follow their progress check out their Facebook and Twitter pages.
MLP: What would be the last pint of your life?
BM: Southern Star’s Buried Hatchet Stout, it’s the only beer I get cravings for.
What would be the setting for your last pint?
A huge house party in my hometown, Denton, TX. Maybe have bands: Cartwright, Ella Minnow, & Scott Biram could tear some shit up & then Sleep Whale, The Books, & Horse Feathers can wind it back down. It’s my last beer EVER, why not go out with a big fucking bang?
What would you eat with your last pint?
Hell yeah, I’d have a medium rare flank steak marinaded in Stubb’s beef marinade, a big ass baked potato smothered in butter, Ranch Style beans, & my Mom’s homemade apple pie with vanilla ice cream for dessert.
With whom would you drink your last pint?
Well, it’s a party so I’d like to have as many of my friends as possible, especially the guys I had my first beer with: Colin Winnette, Conor Wallace, Matt Sallack, & Josh Terry. I can remember Colin’s Dad busting us for drinking in their garage by saying, “It smells like a brewery in here!” If only I knew then that one day I’d get to smell the real deal, & it smells good (except when we’re cleaning out old casks, that’s just terrible).
