Todd Usry is the director of brewing at Breckenridge Brewery. Breckenridge Brewery has been around since 1990, starting as a brewpub in Breckenridge, Colorado. Since then they have opened up two more brewpubs and centrally located their headquarters in Denver, where they have their main brewing and bottling facility. Though their operations are now mostly based in Denver, their hearts are still in Breckenridge among the slopes.

MLP: What would be the last pint of your life?
TU: It wouldn’t be a pint in its truest sense; it would be a delicious Duvel in a Belgian beer glass. There’s something about the dual characteristics of a classic Pilsner and a strong golden ale that make Duvel worthy of a last beer for my tastes.

What would be the setting for your last pint?
The setting of my last pint would have to be on the beach – the Atlantic coast… on one of the barrier islands, looking out to the ocean. Ah…my favorite place on earth.

What would you eat with your last pint?
Though I love food and beer paired together, I wouldn’t pair my very last beer with any food – I’d just want to savor the beer alone in all its glory.
